Terry Naylor is a legend among Tottenham supporters, having played well over three hundred games for Spurs. North London born and bred, he was a player who has passed into Tottenham’s folklore.
An uncompromising tackler and dressing room leader, Naylor played for Tottenham across three decades, experiencing the highs of cup victories and the lows of relegation – before going on to help Charlton win promotion in the Eighties.
Terry served the legendary Bill Nicholson and played alongside such Spurs greats as Glenn Hoddle, Dave Mackay, Martin Peters, Jimmy Greaves, Steve Perryman, Johnny Pratt and Alfie Conn. Nutter Naylor (AKA Meathook) remains Spurs through and through – a born winner who gave everything to the team, the club and, most of all, its incredible supporters.
